My Trip to The Byward Market

In my hometown there is a market downtown where you can find just about everything.
There is little stalls where you can buy bracelets, rings, clothes, necklaces and key chains. You can see my shadow on the rings display!

But the biggest seller in the market is the pure Canadian maple syrup. If anyone has never had pure maple sypup, go get some. There is nothing wrong with the Aunt Jemima syrup but the pure maple is too good for words and since it's so rich and sweet you don't use as much so it lasts longer!!

Yes, these are maple syrup lollipops and yes, they are so good!
Here are some different shots of the market!
 Pony rides!!!!
 The different stalls.
 some shops around the market.
The logo and the sign for the byward market you see them all over.
THE BEST STORE IN THE MARKET. It's called the Tea Store and it's a tea lounge where you can sit and drink different flavors of tea!
YES, I found the line up of Yorkshire Gold, my favourite all time tea.
Walls and walls of pure heaven.
 Tea was everywhere!
There were so many beautifully painted china mugs and tea pots. My favourite was this one below.
It was handpainted and so gorgeous.
I went to eat at The Aulde Dunbliner pub with my family.
It's cozy and a great place to watch the game! Their sweet potato fries are so yummy!! there's an upstairs and a downstairs and the patio is so nice and you can just sit and watch people pass by.
My spring coat! I'm in need of a new one but I love the bright colour! :)

Menchie's is a frozen yogurt place where you pick your own toppings. It's delicious.
You can't pass up the opportunity to try a Beaver Tail. They are sort of like donuts but are long and skinny and have brown sugar and cinnamon in them. My favourite has lemon with it, it's to die for.

Cute places we went to visit on our trip. The bakery was tiny but smelled awesome.
The tea I got at the Tea Store to try, Vanilla and Peach tea, cool!!
Sugar Mountain, a classic. My family goes there about twice a year. It is basically every different kind of candy imaginable. They have lollipops with bugs in them (real ones!), every flavour of jelly beans, even the gross ones!, chocolate bars with funky things inside and things from all over the world like the United States or the UK.
Side note, I saw this in the market as we walked by sugar mountain, it was on a board outside a different shop.
Obama cookies???????? Weird yet pretty cool. I mean what president has their own cookies?
Well, that is what I did today! I also decorated some Easter eggs that I'll post later.
Now it's off to finish my resume so I can hopefully apply as a camp counsellor ! woo!
